SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Yangon Region, scattered in Kachin, Chin, Kayin, Mon States, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Bago,  Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Shan State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) in Bawlakhae and (40°C) each in Monywa, Mandalay, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Yamethin, Tada U(Avia), Chauk, Taungdwingyi and Gangaw.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.36) inches in Hlaingbwe, (2.17) inches in Mongyang, (1.70) inches in   Kawthaung, (1.25) inches in Dawei, (1.18) inches in Minesat, (0.91) inch in Myitkyina and (0.83) inch in Paing Kyone.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloudelsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan, Kayin,Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, AyeyarwadyRegions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 -9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate to strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
