SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, scattered in MandalayRegion and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, MonStates and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States, (2°C) below May average temperatures in Bago, Yangon Regions, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Chin State, (5°C) below May average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Tada U(Aiva) and (39°C) each in Mingin and Mandalay. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.05) inches in Kyauktaw, (1.88) inches each in Sittwe and Kawthaung, (1.38) inches in Myauk U, (1.29) inches in Homalin, (1.26) inches in Maungdaw, (1.18) inches in Kungyangone,(1.06) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (1.02) inches in Bhamo and (0.97) inch in Nyaunton.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7 -12)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.
