BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over the EastcentralBay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and intensified into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about (250) Nautical miles Northwest of Coco Island, about (290) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar), about (290) Nautical miles Southeast of Paradip, about (335) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Digha(India). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kayah State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway region with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Deltaic areas.
