BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over the EastcentralBay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about (235) Nautical miles Northwestof Coco Island, about (275) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar), about (305) Nautical miles Southeast of Paradip, about (345) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Digha(India). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 24^th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, fairlywidespread in Bago Region and Shan, Rakhine, Kayin States, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Region and Kachin, Chin, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Deltaic areas.
