BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 23rdMay, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-10) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
