SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Northern ShanStates, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Sagaing Region and Mon State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw,UpperSagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Eastern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about May average temperature in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) each in Myinmu and Chauk, (42°C) each in Vaar(Falam),Kalewa, Kalay, Mingin, Monywa, Tada-U(Avia), Magway, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.42) inches in kawthaung, (0.98) inch in Muse, (0.94) inch each in Namsam and Mogoke, (0.91) inch in Machanbaw, (0.87) inch in Putao, (0.79)inch in Thabeikkyin, (0.75)inch each in Htilin, Ye and Paung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21stMay, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State, fairlywidespread in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
