SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May average temperatures in Magway and Bago Regions,  (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayin, Mon States and (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (44°C) each in Minbu, Aunglan and Sinbyugyun, (43°C) each in Myinmu, Nyaung Oo, Magway and Bawlakhae, (43°C) each in Varr(Falam), Monywa, Myingyan, Pakokku, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Pauk, Taunggu and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (0.32) inch in Kayan.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Upper Sagiang, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States.Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar areas.
