SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather is partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States.Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Southern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Norhtern Shan, Kayah and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Mon States, (2°C) below May average temperature in Northern Shan State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Chauk and Ann, (41°C) each in Minbu, Aunglan and Yangon(Kaba-Aye). The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.33) inches in Hpa-an, (1.18) inches each in Ramthlo and Pyinoolwin, (0.79) inch in Monyin, (0.43) inch in Mogoke, (0.39) inch each in Nyaung Shwe and Loikaw, (0.38) inch in Saw and (0.36) inch each in Homalin and Shwe Sa Yan.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th May, 2021: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
