SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine States and (2°C) below May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Chauk and Taunggu and (41°C) each in Aunglan, Ann, Tharrawady and Taunggu(Avia). The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.98) inch in Pinlaung, (0.35) inch in Kunlong, (0.24) inch each in Mawlaik and Pyinmana and (0.20) inch each in Labutta and Kawthaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07thMay, 2021: Weather will be partly cloudy inMagway Region and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
