SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin States, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and isolated in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin Statewith isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and (3°C) below May average temperature in Northern Shan State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk and (41°C) each in Minbu, Aunglan and Ann. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.24) inches in Pauk, (1.26) inches in Hakha, (0.82) inch in Kyeikdon, (0.79) inch in Payathonsu and (0.39)inch each in Thipaw and Tada U(Avia).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05thMay, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State and isolated in Magway Region and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.
