SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States and isolated in Bago Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and (2°C) above May average temperature in Mon State and (3°C) below May average temperature in Kayah State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk and (40°C) each in Kalewa, Magway, Aunglan, Gangaw and Nyaunglaybin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.95) inches in Kyaukmae, (1.61) inches in Thipaw, (1.38) inches in Singu(Agro), (1.18) inches in Singaing(Agro), (0.98) inch in Naungcho, (0.91)inch in Mogoke, (0.87) inch in Monyin, (0.51) inch each in Pyinoolwin and Kyaukse and (0.43) inch each in Shwegu and Lashio.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 04thMay, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing , Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin State and isolated in Bago Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuation of likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin States.
