BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Central Andaman Sea still persists. It is likely to intensify into a depression during next (12)hrs. It is forecast to move Northeast wards towards Mon -Taninthayi Coasts. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING  OF THE 2nd April, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady  Regions and kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the Remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine States.
