BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Andaman Sea now lies over Central Andaman Sea. It is likely to intensify into a depression during next (24)hrs. It is forecast to move Northeast wards towards Mon -Taninthayi Coasts. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd April, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the Remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine States.
