BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea still persisits . It is likely to reach over Central Andaman Sea during next (24)hrs and it may futher intensify into a depression during subsequent (24)hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st April, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State,scattered in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Mandalay Region and Chin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the Remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated rain or thundershowers in Kachin, Kayah States.
