SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Light rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Chauk, Magway, Bawlakhae, Hpasaung and (39°C) each in Shwebo, Monywa, Yamethein, Hlaingtat, Lunkyaw, Naypyitaw(Zayyarthiri), Aunglan, Pyay, Taunggu, Tharrawady, Nyaunglaybin and Gyobingauk.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th March, 2021: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions.
