SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Southern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Soutern Shan, Chin States and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk, (41°C) in Bawlakhae and (40°C) each in Monywa, Nyaung Oo, Yamethein, Hlaingtat, Aunglan and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.59) inch in Myeik, (0.20) inch in Machanbaw and (0.16) inch in Putao.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th March, 2021: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions ‌and Shan State.
