SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Rain has been isolated in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States. Weather has been generally fair in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C)  above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah States and  (5°C) above January average temperature in Northern Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (6°C) each in Mindat and Hakha, (7°C) each in Heho, Tiddim, Tongzan and Ramthlo, (8°C) each in Pinlaung and Mogoke. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (0.04)inch in Machanbaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th January, 2021: Rain will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan(North and South), Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States.
