SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Ayeyarwady Region, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Southern Shan State and (3°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Chin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Putao, (5°C) each in Namsam, Heho, Mongyang and Hakha, (6°C) each in Machanbaw, Kyaukmae, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke and (7°C) in Pinlaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th January, 2021: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of light rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
