SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been generally  fair in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below December average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) below December average temperatures in Eastern Shan, Chin States and (2°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Northern Shan, Kayah States, (3°C) above December average temperature in Southern Shan State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Putao, (4°C) each in Mindat and Ramthlo, (5°C) in Tiddim and (6°C) each in Machanbaw, Namsam and Tongzan.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd December, 2020:  Light rain are likely to be isolated in Shan State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region.
