SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.61) inches in Homalin, (3.35) inches in Kyauktaw, (3.23) inches in Maungdaw, (2.95) inches in Paletwa, (2.56) inches in Sittwe, (2.44) inches in Shwegwun, (2.40) inches in Hkamti, (2.36) inches in Paung Byin, (2.17) inches in Ramthlo and (2.05) inches in Tamu.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy the over the Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Magway and Bago Regions, Northern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4-6)feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
