BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:00)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal off West Bengal (India)-Bangladesh Coast has moved North-Northeastwards and is crossing to West Bengal (India) and adjoining Bangladesh coast between Sagar Island and Khepupara. Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 24th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Yangon Region, Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heay falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Rakhine coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5-8)feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of scattered rain or  thundershowers in Central Myanmar areas.
