BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha Coast (India) has moved North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (80) Nautical miles South- Southwest of Sagar Islands (India), about (165) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh) and about (260) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Maungdaw (Myanmar). Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago  Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Sagaing Region and likelihood of isolated  heavy falls in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Rakhine coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5-8)feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
