BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards and lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha Coast (India). It is centered at about (80) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Paradip and about (175) Nautical miles South- Southwest of Sagar Islands (India), about (255) Nautical miles South- Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh) and about (320) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Maungdaw (Myanmar).  Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 23rd October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah and Kayin States, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan(South and East) and Mon States, fairly widespread in Magway Region, Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4-6)feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
