BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (18:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over  the West Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is forecast to move Northwestwards and intensify into a Depression during next (24)hrs. Thereafter it is likely to move North-Northeastwards and may further intensify into a Deep Depression during next (48)hrs near West Bengal (India) and Bengladesh coasts. Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOONOF THE 22nd October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Northern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Magway and Bago Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic,off and along Rakhine coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4-6)feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States.
