BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is forecast to move initially Northwestwards then North- Northeastwards. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTILNOON OF THE 21st October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Northern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Shan (South and East) and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yagon and Ayeyarwady Regons. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.
