BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and East central Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 18th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin and (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region anf isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7)feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Southern Myanmar areas.
