BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and East central Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (06:30) hrs MST today, yesterday’s the low pressure area over the Gulf off Thailand passed through Southern Thailand and Southern Myanmar areas and weakened to a wave in the Andaman Sea. It is likely to form over North Andaman Sea and adjoining Eastcentral Bay during next (6)hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah States, Scattered in Chin State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar areas.
