SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the East Central Bay of Bengal and Deltaic Myanmar areas. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.84) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (2.60) inches in Pinlaebu, (2.45) inches in Thipaw, (2.28) inches in Putao, (2.24) inches in Wintho, (2.09) inches in Kawlin, (2.04) inches in Kalewa, (1.96) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.93) inches in Gangaw, (1.86) inches in Yangon (Mingaladon), (1.76) inches in Ye, (1.73) inches in Payathonsu, (1.65) inches in Kawthaung and (1.61) inches in Kawkareik.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and East central Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar areas.
