SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Chin State, fairly widespread in Kachin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.82) inches in Patheingyi(Shwe Sayan), (2.32) inches in Myauk U, (2.13) inches in Belin, (2.04) inches in Myeik, (2.01) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.89) inches in Gwa, (1.85) inches in Launglon, (1.78) inches in Kanbalu, (1.61) inches each in Lunkyaw and Chaungsone, (1.57) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (1.50) inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), (1.42) inches each in Tatkon and Phyarpon and (1.38) inches in Sagaing.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh- South Odisha coasts (India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Deltaic Myanmar areas.
