SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Kachin and (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.35) inches in Singu(Agro), (4.02) inches in Launglon, (3.58) inches in Chaungsone, (3.46) inches in Mudon, (3.39) inches in Ye, (3.23) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.91) inches in Machanbaw, (2.87) inches in Dawei, (2.28) inches in Pathein, (2.13) inches in Budalin, (2.01) inches in Hmawbi, (1.89) inches in Nanyun, (1.77) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (1.65) inches in Yamethin, (1.58) inches each in Thabeikkyin and Mawlamyine and (1.54) inches each in Kanbalu, Mandalay, Madauk and Paung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Shan (Southern and Eastern) State, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Deltaic Myanmar areas.
