BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-8) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts .
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of southwest monsoon from the Central Myanmar areas.
