BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North coastal Odisha (India) has crossed over North Coastal Odisha (India).Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of  isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (8 – 12) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (6- 8) feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Rakhine State.
