BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northeast Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 21st September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 – 14) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
