SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.93) inches in Belin, (1.72) inches in Patheingyi(Shwesayan), (1.68) inches in Payathonsu, (1.38) inches in Launglon, (1.34) inches in Mawlaik, (1.30) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (1.27) inches in Kataingti, (1.25) inches in Yangon(Mingaladon) and (1.20) inches each in Kya-In-Seikkyi and Kyeikdon.

 BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th September, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region and Eastern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak to moderate monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay.
