SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Kachin and Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (6.69) inches in Machanbaw, (5.00) inches in Chaungsone, (4.33) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.90) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.69) inches in Ye, (2.80) inches in Thaton, (2.52) inches in Myitkyina, (2.17) inches each in Thandwe  and Taungkok, (1.73) inches in Mudon, (1.69) inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), (1.65) inches in Kawkareik, (1.58) inches in Central Yangon and (1.50) inches in Mawlamyine.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Kachin and Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Kachin and Northern Shan States.
