BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, Northern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan and Kayin States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 – 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
