BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-Gangetic West Bengal coasts has crossed north Odisha(India). Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 10th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions,Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 – 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
