BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th August, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced Gulf of Mottama, Deltaic,off and along Rakhine Coasts and rough sea will be experienced elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h Gulf of Mottama, Deltaic,off and along Rakhine Coasts and (40)m.p.h off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Wave height will be about (10 – 16) feet Gulf of Mottama, Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (8-12) feet off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong Monsoon.
