SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, Eastern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.23) inches in Paletwa, (2.52) inches in Mawlaik, (2.44) inches in Payathonsu, (2.05) inches each in Pinlaebu and Shwe Gu, (1.81) inches each in Katha and Kyeikkhame, (1.69) inches in Kyauktaw, (1.63) inches in Thandaunggyi, (1.62) inches each in Myaing and Maungdaw, (1.57) inches each in Bhamo and Okkan, (1.50) inches each in Naypyitaw(Otarathiri) and Paung, (1.35) inches each in Singu(Agro) and Kamamaung, (1.34) inches each in Mogoke and Kawkareik and (1.29) inches in Kawthaung.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31stJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon in the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
