SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Mandalay Region, Kayah and Kayin States, scattered in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.75) inches in Thandwe, (2.36) inches each in Hakha and Gwa, (2.17) inches in Myauk U, (2.05) inches in Putao, (1.94) inches in Sittwe, (1.85) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.77) inches each in Paletwa and Tiddim, (1.73) inches in Vaar, (1.69) inches in Tamu, (1.65) inches in Taungdwingyi and (1.57) inches each in Taungkok and Labutta.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25thJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Chin and Rakhine States, scattered in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Shan State.
