SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and
Mandalay Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw and Eastern Shan State, fairly
widespread in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States and
widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in
Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount
of rainfall recorded were (6.18) inches in Putao, (4.09) inches in Hkamti,
(3.12) inches in Kyaukpyu, (2.76) inches each in Kunlong and Ann, (2.64)
inches in Hainggyigyun, (2.44) inches in Belin, (2.01) inches each in Shwegu
and Manaung, (1.77) inches in Kalewa, (1.73) inches in Taungkok, (1.65)
inches in Namsam and (1.54) inches in Myintson.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24thJuly, 2020: Rain or
thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay
and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon
and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the
remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in
Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
