SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.37) inches in Gwa, (2.83) inches in Manaung, (2.40) inches in Thandwe, (2.28) inches each in Myitkyina and Bago, (2.01) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.97) inches in Bhamo, (1.73) inches in Kataingti, (1.69) inches in Hpapun, (1.65) inches in Taunggyi, (1.57) inches in Labutta, (1.50) inches in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri), (1.46) inches in Kungyangon, (1.38) inches in Mawlaik and (1.30) inches in Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19thJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
