                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past

(24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or

thundershowers has been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay

and Magway Regions,scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in

Upper Sagaing, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Shan(South and East), Chin

and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States

with regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region, Kayin and Mon States

and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region. The noteworthy amount of

rainfall recorded were (4.41) inches in Kawkareik, (3.98) inches in Central

Yangon, (3.73) inches in Pathein, (3.70) inches in Myaungmya, (3.43) inches

in Belin, (3.23) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.03) inches in Shan-Yar-Thit,

(2.71) inches in Kataingti, (2.44) inches in Yangon(Kaba-Aye), (2.21) inches

in Putao, (2.05) inches in Maubin, (1.97) inches in Ngathaichaung, (1.75)

inches in Paing Kyone and (1.73) inches in Ye.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18thJuly, 2020: Rain or

thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and

Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly

widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Shan(South and East), Chin

and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States

 with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin,

Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave

height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain

in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 18th July, 2020:

Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 18thJuly, 2020:

One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 18th July, 2020: 

Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (60%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be

isolated in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Regions and widespread in Yangon Region.
