SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Northern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.95) inches in Okkan, (2.68) inches in Ye, (1.97) inches in Sittwe, (1.93) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.85) inches in Tiddim, (1.81) inches in Naungcho, (1.53) inches in Kawkareik, (1.42) inches in Manaung, (1.38) inches each in Putao and Hkamti, (1.10) inches in Pinlaebu, (1.08) inches in Kyeikdon and (1.06) inches each in Mawlaik and Paung.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16thJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Eastern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
