SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Mandalay Region, Shan (North and East) and  Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon Region, Kachin and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.29) inches in Maungdaw, (2.95) inches in Hainggyigyun, (2.09) inches in Khayan, (1.97) inches in Kungyangon, (1.93) inches in Launglon, (1.69) inches in Putao, (1.46) inches in Taunggu(Avia), (1.38) inches in Maubin, (1.22) inches each in Machanbaw and Daik U, (1.18) inches in Myauk U, (1.14) inches in Magway and (1.06) inches each in Madauk, Zalun, Kawkareik and Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8thJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan (North and South) and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and  Bago Regions,  Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING  AREA  FOR  8th July, 2020: Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).
