SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.90) inches in Mawlamyine, (4.92) inches in Paung, (4.88) inches in Ye, (4.65) inches in Launglon, (4.53) inches each in Manaung and Kyeikkhame, (4.45) inches in Chaungsone, (4.29) inches in Mudon, (3.94) inches in Bhamo, (3.90) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (3.82) inches in Kyaukmae, (3.74) inches in Machanbaw, (3.70) inches in Tharrawady, (3.46) inches in Monyin, (3.34) inches in Putao, (3.11) inches each in kyaukpyu and Thaton and (2.99) inches each in Myaungmya and Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5thJuly, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 -12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
