SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Kachin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Chin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region, Shan (South and East), Kayah and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.91) inches in Putao, (1.54) inches in Sittwe, (1.06) inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), (0.98) inch each in Myitkyina and Namsam, (0.91) inch in Kyauktaw, (0.83) inch in Paletwa, (0.79) inch in Payathonsu, (0.78) inch in Shan-Ywar-Thit and (0.75) inch in Tamu.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th June, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Rakhine and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin, Kayah and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
