BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area over the East Central Bay of Bengal has moved West –Northwestwards and reached over Central Bay of Bengal. It will become intensify during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 10th June, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region, Northern Shan and Kayah States and fairly widespread in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Northern Myanmar areas.
