BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area over the East Central Bay of Bengal still persists and become intensify during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 10th June, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in Northern Myanmar areas.
