BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 09th June, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with  rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
